This is a blog about love and what I am learning/have learned. I warn you that most of it will probably be about a certain guy, but you probably already figured that out. So let's start with a little bit of what I have learned.
Love makes you do crazy things
I know this is true because in order to know what love is, you have to be able to follow your heart. Sometimes your heart is telling you to do things your brain would've thought were crazy. For example: I was out of town visiting some friends and one of my friends asked me if I wanted to hang out with our group of friends back home. Even though it was an hour away, I wanted to spend time with the guy I liked and also my friends. So I drove an hour home, met my friends, and we all hung out, ate dinner, and watched a movie. Then I drove back to where I was staying. My brain was like "that's dumb, you're wasting gas." but my heart said "You need to be there because he needs you." He has been dealing with depression for awhile and one of the things I can't stand is my friends not being happy. So we all shared some laughs and when we were saying goodbye, I had asked him if he was okay while we were hugging. He had looked a bit shook up earlier and I wanted to know if everything was alright. He said he was fine, but that just means he isn't. I've known him too long to accept that he wasn't still thinking about something.
Don't let your feelings get in the way of your friendship
It's even harder to go through life when you have feelings towards someone you are already are close to. They say that eventually two friends will fall for each other, but it's difficult when only one of them has. I understand that completely. I have fallen for one of my best friends, and I have for the last 3 years....It's hard to see them and just be a friend. And it hurts like crazy when I see them suffering or depressed. I just want to hug him and tell him everything is okay. But I still just act like a friend and tell him I care and I'm there for him. Even though I have feelings for him, I continue to try to be the best friend that I can be to him.
It's been 3 years
I first met him 3 years ago. I wasn't very well liked by anyone when I was younger, let alone a boy. It was just a coincidence that we met, but I will never forget that night. It was just a simple hangout, but the following day we were texting all the time. Unfortunately an ex friend came into the situation and ruined it for us. Ever since then there hasn't really been anything between us but a close friendship.
